Primary Curriculum Key Stages 1 & 2 (Year 1 - Year 6)
At the Primary, we deliver the English National Curriculum (ENC). This provides a high level of expectation and challenge for our students and ensures that they are provided with a modern and relevant curriculum.
The National Curriculum Comprises of The Three ‘Core Subjects’
- Art and Design
- Music
- Design and Technology
- Physical Education
- Computing
- Geography
- History
In addition to National Curriculum subjects, the AICS ensures compliance with the UAE Ministry of Education subjects.
Arabic A (for Arab students) and Arabic B (for non Arab students) programs are provided for students from Year 1 and up, as per KHDA regulations. Islamic Studies A (for Arab Muslim students, delivered in Arabic) and Islamic B (for non-Arab Muslim students, delivered in English) is provided from Year 2 as per KHDA regulations. Moral Social Cultural Studies is provided from Year 2 as per KHDA regulations.
Our holistic approach encourages learning beyond the classes and helps children grow and develop physically, intellectually, and emotionally. There is a fine balance between academic and non-academic pursuits and the children are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, and skills that are required to meet the challenges in Key Stages 3 and 4.
