Key Stage 2
Key Stage 2 (Years 3–6) offers a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum that builds strong foundations for the next stages of learning. Our programme is aligned to the National Curriculum for England and carefully adapted to reflect the diverse strengths, backgrounds and aspirations of our international school community.
A strong focus is placed on the core areas of English, Mathematics and Science to ensure secure progress in literacy, numeracy and scientific understanding. Alongside these, pupils study a wide range of foundation subjects that develop curiosity, creativity, critical thinking and real-world knowledge. Arabic is taught as both a written and spoken language, and French is introduced from Year 3 as a modern foreign language.
Learning in Key Stage 2 is enriched through a variety of experiences beyond the classroom. Regular co-curricular opportunities such as sport, debate, robotics and theme-based projects help pupils discover interests, build confidence and develop collaboration skills. Educational visits, field trips, environmental initiatives and inter-school competitions further extend learning and encourage positive participation, resilience and healthy competition.
In the Primary phase, we place equal importance on students’ academic achievement and their physical, emotional, social and moral development. Teaching is designed to promote active learning through investigation, exploration and practical application. This approach supports independence, teamwork, communication and a strong sense of responsibility—helping pupils grow into confident, reflective and globally aware learners.
