Key Stage 4 ( Years 10 –11 )

Key Stage 4 covers the final two years of secondary study (Years 10 and 11). During this stage, students follow a two-year Cambridge IGCSE programme, choosing from a broad range of subjects offered through Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE). Alongside their IGCSE courses, students also continue with the UAE Ministry curriculum subjects that are required for all learners.

 

📚 UAE Ministry Curriculum Subjects (Compulsory)

The following subjects are compulsory and delivered in line with UAE Ministry requirements:
  • Arabic A (Ministry syllabus) – required for Arab students in Years 10 and 11
  • Arabic B (Ministry syllabus) – required for Non-Arab students in Year 10 only
  • Islamic Education (Ministry syllabus) – required for Muslim students in Years 10 and 11
  • Moral, Social and Cultural Studies – required for Non-Arab students in Year 10
  • Social Studies and Moral Education – required for Arab students in Year 10
  • Physical Education – compulsory as part of the school curriculum

📚 Cambridge IGCSE Subjects (Compulsory for Board Examinations)

All students will take the following IGCSE subjects as part of their board examination pathway:
  • English (First Language English* or English as a Second Language)
  • Mathematics

Students select from a range of elective IGCSE subjects, depending on interest, aptitude, and future pathways:
