Starting school in the early years
The foundation stage curriculum complies with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework as part of an enriched version of the New National Curriculum for England. AICS ensures that a stimulating, caring and vibrant environment is established where children learn essential social skills and thrive on the planned learning opportunities, particularly in early reading, writing, mathematics, enquiry and exploration. Early years Children take part in an extensive induction program prior to starting school.
Engaging in the primary curriculum
The school’s primary curriculum complies with Cambridge Primary Program and is also based on the standards prescribed by the Ministry of Education for Arabic, Islamic Studies, Moral Education and UAE Social Studies, to provide a broad and balanced education for our students. The curriculum at AICS is enriched with extended learning opportunities that incorporates critical thinking, parental participation, field visits and sports activities that leads to holistic development of the students.

AICS holds the ethos of inclusion and equal access opportunity to education for all dearly. We continuously review the provisions for the students of determination to ensure that they are comprehensive, effective, and responsive to changing needs of the students. We ensure that identification of students’ individual and special needs are prompt and accurate to put effective interventions in place swiftly to maximize students’ learning in the school.
Keeping Your Children Safe
To help create safer, healthier spaces post COVID-19, LEAMS Education has pursued the International WELL Building Institute’s WELL Health Safety Rating, verifying that The Apple International Community School has implemented evidence-based strategies to help protect the health and safety of our students, parents and community. Keeping your children safe, health and safety are of prime importance at AICS. The school infrastructure and facilities meet all standards of safety set by the regulatory authorities.
The Governing Board and The School Leadership Team
The school is managed by an experienced leadership team supported by the Governing body, comprising of a group of experienced creative individuals from various sectors including education, finance and legal with a successful proven track record. The Governing body provides vital leadership to the school and ensures it is well run by the management by setting strategic direction and focus.
Parental Engagement/Friends of AICS
At AICS, we are committed to ensuring the best for your child, and by working in partnership, we can successfully enrich your child’s journey. Through parent-teacher meetings, written reports, and open classrooms we have adopted an ‘’open door policy’’ ensuring that parents can approach us through all channels of communication. The school selects members of the school parental body and the Governing body to form the Friends of AICS team.
